I hope you enjoyed day one of my Quebec City photo diary, because here is day two! This day was particularly long because jet lag hit us – we were all awake at the crack of dawn. This was actually a blessing in disguise – we witnessed a phenomenal sunrise from our balcony! The sunrise even takes a top spot in my highlights of day two. To see all 5 highlights, be sure to stick around until the end of the post!
We did SO MUCH WALKING on day two – I think like 12 or 14 kilometres?! That was defs not a highlight of mine, although it did let us see a TON of the city. Aside from the aforementioned sunrise, my other highlights include Rue de St. Paul (so many antique shops!), the market (Marché du Viex-Port), and all of the public artwork (most of which is part of an exhibit called “Les Passages Insolites/Unusual Passages 2015“). Oh also Ciccio Café. OH MY GOD CICCIO CAFÉ! This is hands down the best meal we had all trip, if not the best Italian food I’ve ever had (except for the time I was in actual Italy). We had walked quite a ways out of the old quarter of Quebec City to find this wee place (which my dad found on trip advisor) and thank the food Gods he had. This is a meal I won’t forget in a long while.
